Time is the constant and varying changes displayed by all physical objects known and unknown in existence that helps determine age/progression.

            The above is a short and truly understandable definition without ambiguity attached to it, as well as having countless pages of definitions attached to it that incorporate quotes from scientist, examples and historical facts.

            The key thing about that definition is the fact that time is defined as being a direct and integral part of the physical which can’t be separated.

            An example of how time is part of the physical is the simple fact that people tell time. There’s a clock that keeps track of the motion of earth as it spins on its axis, as well as goes around the sun. Humanity couldn’t keep time if there was no earth as well as no sun.

            Again, keep in mind that if there was no tangible, then there would be no way of telling time.

            People had to look at a physical object and the change it underwent in order to tell time. We then came up with a device called the clock to mark off the changes of that object. Ergo the physical and time are one and can’t be distinguished one from each the other.

            Sure the language about the space time continuum and time being some type of separate existence from what we know as existence is “deep” and makes anyone who regurgitates the definition sound intelligent. In reality, if a couple of primitive questions such as what do you mean space time continuum or give me a short example without delivering an answer as lengthy as an encyclopedia were asked, in most cases that individual would be hard pressed to comply.

            So why all the big fuss about time? Well, scientists know that if true understanding about a phenomenon is acquired then the possibility of controlling it is increased.

            So can humanity control time as if it were some type of animal? The answer is no. But people can control their individual perception of time which will give rise to discoveries. One example of a person controlling his/her individual perception of time is that if they’re looking at a piece of fruit deteriorate in the sun and they say well it took, for example, 6 hours to become uneatable; then the experiment is over.

            But if they looked at that same experiment and said that after 6 hours the fruit deteriorated because microorganisms began to feast upon it, seeing that the fruit helped give and nurture new life, the researcher can now begin to study the new life as opposed to just saying the fruit is no good for human consumption, then the experiment is not over. 

            An important thing for the readers to do is think about the definition just given as well as the others and see for themselves if it is applicable to their everyday life, and don’t be fooled when someone says time can’t be applied, or that time is separate from the physical.
